Karen artwork follow-up from May
Karen has updated her artwork from an earlier sketch found here with some interesting details regarding a track that has “fallen away.”
another illustration for a song that's fallen away, not seeming good enough for the subject. but the idea of my mom as a guardian walking through a city, accompanied by a lion, is a recurring one for me, so I like to draw it. not always in a city, of course, but in the case of this song, one of my kids was on a field trip in baltimore, and I thought of her being there, watching over. if you are missing a parent maybe you will recognize this feeling that they are at once far away and quite nearby. my mom was a hospice nurse, and a beautiful person in all ways.
